All kitchen utensils made from recycled teak wood (teak root) are food safe. For optimal use, please observe the following care instructions:

Before first use:

• Wash with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly and dry thoroughly.
• Repeat this process for daily cleaning.

Important notes:

• Do not place in the dishwasher or microwave and do not soak.
• To protect the wood and maintain its beauty, occasionally apply food-safe oil with a brush or cloth.
• If the product becomes rough or discolored, it can be refinished with sandpaper and then re-treated with food-safe oil.
